Most of the candidates finding quantitative aptitude section difficult just because we don't understand the core of the chapters well enough and without understanding the basic we start giving mock test due to which our score is low and we find quants difficult. To become expert in any section we have to do step by step preparation.
Let's start with prelims preparation, there are 35 questions, each question is of 1 mark for which you get 20 minutes. These 35 questions are asked from 18 topics. We divide these topics into 4 parts
Part 1 :- 1) Number series
2) Simplification and approximation
3) Quadratic equation
Part 2 :- 4) Data interpretation
Part 3 :- 5) Ratio and proportion
6) Percentage
7) Partnership
8) Average
9) Ages
10) Probability
11) Mensuration
Part 4 :- 12) Profit, loss and discount
13) Time and work

18) Mixture and allegation
Part 1 is the most scoring chapter that's why you will prepare this part first. For this part you have to follow Kaushik mohanty sir's video. After clearing your concept, you have to practice atleast 10 to 20 questions daily.
Part 2 is also a scoring chapter but this chapter has some patterns and you have to understand each and every pattern carefully and practice it. It includes tabular data interpretation, pie charts, bar graph, line graph, caselet, missing data, mixed graphs, charts and tables, etc. For this part you have to follow Harshal agarwal sir or Yashraj singh chauhan sir.
Part 3 includes the basic chapters of arithmetic which helps you to solve other chapters quickly. For this part you can follow RS aggarwal book, Arun sharma, Rajesh verma, after that you should choose some good youtube channels such as Aman sir, banersadda, meritshine, etc.
Part 4 includes those chapters which are little bit time taking and require a lot of practice. For this part you need to clear concepts from the book of RS aggarwal or Arun sharma or Rakesh verma sir. After completing your chapters from the book you can choose some youtube channels to make your concept more clear such as Kaushik mohanty sir, Aman sir, Meritshine, Bankersadda, Ashish sir, etc.
After learning the topics, search different type of questions of that chapter online. Once you attempt various types of questions, you will be very strong with its concept. After learning 2 or 3 chapters revise them in weekends. Because many times when we remember new chapters, we forget the previous ones, so it is necessary to revise them after some time.
Now your concepts are very clear, so now the most important step is to take mock tests. Your speed is not fast and you have not practiced questions in time limit so your score may be low. But nothing to worry, practice will increase your speed and also increase your score. Another important thing after giving mock is analyzing it, without it, there will be less scope of improvement because analysis helps you to identify your mistakes, compare with others and also gives you alternate methods of solving.
If you do your preparation in this way then you can easily score 35 out of 35 in prelims exam.
Quantitative aptitude in mains exam is mainly data analysis and interpretation. In this you get 35 questions of 60 marks which you have to do in 60 minutes.
Memorized chapters for prelims exam will help a lot in mains exam because the data interpretation in the mains exam is based om arithmetic chapters such as time speed and distance, boat and stream, time and work, profit/loss and discount. And chapters such as ratio and proportion, percentage, average helps you to solve questions quickly. Apart from data interpretation questions are asked from
-Data sufficiency
-Number series
-Number system
-Permutation and combination
-Probability
-Geometry
You will prepare for the mains exam with Harshal aggarwal sir or Yashraj singh chauhan sir's mains level videos. Both has explained every pattern of the question in their videos. The preparation of the mains exam is little bit difficult because high level questions are asked in it but with proper study plan and practice you can crack the exam easily. After clearing your concept you have to practice mains level questions from olivboard app. Oliveboard mock tests are mandatory for mains exam.
The preparation of prelims and mains is same, first you need to understand the concept of the chapter, second you have to solve chapter wise questions, third take mock or sectional tests, fourth analyzing the test.
